Here’s when schools are reopening in your state

States like Haryana, Telangana, Gujarat among others have allowed offline classes in the state schools following strict Covid-19 protocols. Let’s have a look at these states:

Punjab
The Punjab government has allowed the reopening of schools for Classes 10, 11 and 12 from July 26 onward, with conditions that staff and teachers should be fully vaccinated and parents’ consent is taken.

Chhattisgarh
Chhattisgarh will reopen higher secondary schools, colleges, and universities from August 2 with 50% attendance. Students will attend classes on alternate days, while online classes for all streams will be continued as before.

Delhi
Chief Minister of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal said that resuming schools in offline mode will only put children’s life at risk. “Internationally, there’s a trend of the resurgence of Covid-19 through a third wave; thus, until the vaccination process does not get completed for everyone, we cannot risk the lives of children,” Kejriwal said recently.

West Bengal
The West Bengal government has no plans to open schools at any level in the near future due to threat from the third wave of the Covid-19 pandemic.  

Madhya Pradesh
The state government has decided to reopen schools in a phased manner. Classes 11 and 12 can reopen from July 26, classes 9 and 10 from August 5, all at 50% capacity.
