Little things make a huge difference in the long run. And when it comes to the list of little things, the most important is inevitably personal hygiene. Good personal hygiene keeps many illnesses at bay. Therefore, it’s a must as it helps in strengthening one’s immunity and building a healthy world in the larger scheme of things.

To inculcate the habit of maintaining proper personal hygiene, pre-primary and primary class students of Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri recently participated in a personal hygiene workshop. Students were explained how handwashing is the first line of defense against the spread of many diseases. They were also informed that with proper handwashing they could help curb spread of not just common cold, but also serious illnesses like Hepatitis A.

Students understood the importance of handwashing for at least 30 seconds before every meal. They recalled watching advertisements during pandemic-induced lockdown which mentioned how washing hands is one of the ways to control the spread of coronavirus. Thereby, students promised to always maintain proper personal hygiene levels while participating enthusiastically in this workshop.

“Jim Rohn says, ‘Take  care of your body. It’s the only place you have to live.’ Good personal hygiene is definitely a part of taking care of one’s body. Learning about them early in school will definitely take them a long way in taking care of their body and health.”
