Young badminton players from Apeejay School, Mahavir Marg, Jalandhar, returned with two significant achievements from the CBSE Cluster XVIII Badminton Tournament. The competition was held at British Victoria School in Sultanpur Lodhi, Kapurthal.

The tournament brought together teams from Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Amritsar, Pathankot, Ferozepur, Gurdaspur, Kapurthala, and Jammu and Kashmir. The wide participation placed the achievements of both Apeejay School teams within a major regional contest.

The Under-17 Boys team secured the Gold medal with a strong performance on the court. The result also earned the players’ qualification for the CBSE National Badminton Tournament, which will be held in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh.

The achievement marks an important step for the team. The national tournament will take the players beyond the cluster stage and give them another opportunity to represent their school. Their qualification reflects the dedication and perseverance that shaped their performance at the tournament.

Silver for the younger team

The Under-14 Girls team added to the school’s success by winning the Silver medal. Their performance showed skill, determination, and sporting spirit throughout the competition. The silver medal gave the younger team an important result at the cluster tournament and recognised its spirited performance on court.

Both results brought pride to Apeejay School, Mahavir Marg. The achievements also recognised the dedication of the players, coaches, and mentors connected with the two teams.

The school congratulated the players, coaches, and mentors for their dedication and perseverance. For the young athletes, the medals recognise the work already done.

They also set the direction for what comes next, particularly as the Under-17 Boys prepare for the national stage in Meerut and the Under-14 Girls build on a memorable tournament campaign.
