G20 Employment Working Group meeting begins today

The second G20 Employment Working Group (EWG) meeting commenced today in Guwahati. The city has been decked up for the three-day meeting, according to news sources.

The EWG Summit will focus on three key areas of global skill gaps; gig and platform economy and social protection and sustainable financing of social security. Foreign delegates, members from 19 member countries and guest countries, have arrived in Guwahati. Apart from this, members of some other international organisations will also participate in the meeting.

The first day of the three-day meeting will start with a presentation by the Finance Track, Digital Economy Working Group, Education Working Group and activities and accomplishment of entrepreneurship research centre on G20 economies. The panel discussion will be followed by cultural programmes at Mahabahu Brahmaputra River Heritage Centre.
