From presentations to posters, students engage in innovative activities at inter-college contest

More than 30 students from 10 colleges registered for various competitions that were organised

To promote innovation and new thinking, Apeejay School of Management (ASM), Dwarka, celebrated National Innovation Day, also observed to commemorate the birth anniversary of scientist and former President of India APJ Abdul Kalam.

More than 30 students from 10 colleges registered for various competitions held on the occasion. There were four competitions: Presentation on Innovation, Poster-making contest, Collage-making contest, and Extempore. Students showcased exceptional talent by creating colourful posters while others made thought-provoking presentations and won praise from everybody.

Dr Aloka Dutta, associate professor, Bhagini Nivedita College, Delhi University, and Dr Yash Vats, assistant professor, Institute of Computer Applications and Management, Bharatiya Vidyapeeth, were invited to be a part of the esteemed jury along with ASM faculty members.

The winners of the competitions were as follows:

Presentation on Innovation:

First Prize: Ranjeet Kumar, Sachin Kumar, Vanshika, and Saijal Hans from Deshbandhu College

Second Prize: Lavanya Sharma and Deepak Vashitha from Trinity Institute of Professional Studies

Third Prize: Vikash Sheoran, Ishan Walia, and Ragini from ASM

Extempore:

First Prize: Raunak Chhabra from Pannalal Girdharlal Dayanand Anglo-Vedic College

Second Prize: Lavanya Sharma from Trinity Institute of Professional Studies

Third Prize: Aristha from Pannalal Girdharlal Dayanand Anglo-Vedic College

Poster-making:

First Prize: Sakshi Trivedi from Banarsidas Chandiwala Institute of Professional Studies 

Second Prize: Sachin Rathore from Trinity Institute of Professional Studies

Third Prize: Saumya, from Banarsidas Chandiwala Institute of Professional Studies 

Collage-making:

First Prize: Prachi, Kritagya Srivastava, and Anuj Yadav from ASM

Second Prize: Saheen Praveen, Pankaj Kumar, and Anoop Kumar from ASM

The prizes were awarded by ASM director Dr Alka Munjal, Dr Dutta, and Dr Vats. The event concluded with the distribution of refreshment boxes to all the attendees.

It was a well-received event, with many participants from different colleges. It was a fantastic buzzing event, and I was glad to see all the happy faces on my campus, and I hope they keep coming.
