Encouraged by her parents, she began her training journey under the guidance of renowned Taekwondo coaches. From the very beginning, it was evident that she possessed an extraordinary talent that set her apart from her peers. “She started only in December last year. I wanted her to learn how to defend herself against potential threats. Besides, I am a yellow belt. So, I wanted my daughter to try and take up the sport. I am happy that she is doing well in it. She is excited to learn it,” says the proud mother.

Setting Her Sights on Excellence

Ruvanshi’s unwavering commitment and dedication to her craft have been awe-inspiring. She has approached her training sessions with a level of discipline and focus that belies her years. The countless hours spent honing her techniques, perfecting her forms, and building strength and endurance have been instrumental in her rapid progression. “Ruvanshi is learning from the best. She has been enrolled with IMS Institute in Mumbai and her coach is Mr Rajan Deshmukh,” Mrs Kumar shares.

The Road to Success

Ruvanshi’s first taste of competitive success came at a Taekwondo tournament, where she displayed remarkable skill, winning many hearts. This initial victory served as a catalyst for her determination to reach new heights. Her family and coaches recognised her immense potential and rallied behind her, providing unwavering support and guidance. She is soon to take part at an International-level competition.

The Asian Championship Triumph

Ruvanshi’s crowning achievement came at the recent Asian Championship, where she competed against talented participants. Despite being one of the youngest contenders, her poise, agility, and technical prowess set her apart. Ruvanshi left spectators and judges alike in awe as she flawlessly executed complex patterns and powerful kicks.

“First she qualified for the state-level in which she bagged three medals, one gold and two silvers along with a trophy. This was held in February this year. After which the doors for the Asian championship were opened for her. She aced it too,” narrates Mrs Kumar who accompanies the bright spark to her training sessions.
