The school extends a beautiful farewell to its senior secondary batch of students

School farewells are a coming of age event. Students step out of their teenage years that year and enter the adult world, a world of responsibilities and possibilities. Boys wearing formal suits and girls wearing sarees symbolises entering into a new phase of identity.  Farewell is an emotional event not just for the students but also for the schools, who know the importance of birds leaving the nests to find a greater sky.

Apeejay School, Noida, organised farewell for the senior secondary students of the 2022-23 batch in the school auditorium recently. It was a memorable day as the auditorium

Reverberated with huge roars of laughter and joy due to the magnificent cultural performances of the class 11 students. The school campus resonated with laughter, smiles and emotional conversations between teachers and students.

The event commenced with the lighting of the lamp. It was followed by an mesmerising invocation dance. Thereafter, a duet song mash-up enthralled the audience. However, the highlight of the day was a rap song performance and a musical rendition that made the audience sing along.

An emotional video presentation brought an end to the heartfelt programme. The video gave a glimpse to all students of their 14 year journey at school .The head boy and head girl shared their feelings and gratitude towards the school, staff and their peers. The School flag was handed over to the Vice Head Boy and the Vice Head Girl by the Principal in a sombre ceremony. The day came to an end as Principal sir blessed all students with his words of encouragement and gave them mementos as a token of remembrance.

Speaking about the event, Principal, Mr AK Sharma mentioned, “The farewell ceremony is always a poignant occasion where we as mentors are full of mixed emotions. While it is difficult to bid adieu to our students after a long association but we feel proud to see our young falcons ready to scale the skies that await them and soar high.”
