Faguni Kumar, student, Apeejay School Panchsheel Park, awarded 1st runner-up certificate at Bridge Intelia

A National-level Young Scientists Talent Virtual Fair was organised in July 2021 by Bridge Intelia, the digital education platform aimed at revolutionising learning by unifying traditional concepts with new generation techniques. At the event themed, Technology, Faguni Kumar, a student of class 7, Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park, won the 1st runner-up certificate in class 6-8th category by presenting a project on ‘My Intelligent Home.’

In the first round, among 5000 students, she was selected as one of the top 50. The next round included an interview session with engineers and top minds from Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), Mumbai.

Kumar presented a model of a tech-driven, functional modern house with seven censor-based automations including a fire alarm, water and electricity conservation switches. The child prodigy dreams of becoming an engineer in the future, as she says, “I like building new things every day around my house.”
