Everything you need to know about CBSE’s class 10, 12 dispute redressal policy

The Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE class 10, 12 Result 2021 Dispute Redressal Policy has been released by the board. The applications for the same can be sent till August 14. After the declaration of results, if candidates are not satisfied with their performance, the following two facilities have been provided by CBSE to students:

1. Students who are not satisfied with the assessment, done based on the policy, will be given an opportunity to appear in the examinations to be conducted by the board when conditions are conducive for holding the examinations. As per this policy, marks scored in later examination will be considered as final.

2. Dispute regarding computation of results will be referred to a committee constituted by CBSE.

1. TYPES OF DISPUTES/CASES COVERED

A. WHAT ARE TYPE – 1 AND 2 DISPUTES
This category of disputes includes computation of marks by the result committee. With the cancellation of board exams, the internal assessment was used by CBSE to mark students. The board used marks of class 12, 11, 10 with 40:30:30 weightage for releasing class 12 result 2021. Candidates who are not satisfied with their marks can make the representation to the principal of the school for verification.

B. WHAT ARE TYPE – 3 DISPUTES
DISPUTES REGARDING WRONG COMPUTATION / UPLOADING OF RESULT
Once any Result Committee member without any representation from any student observes that a mistake has been committed in calculation/feeding the marks / any other factual mistake.

C. WHAT ARE TYPE – 4 DISPUTES
DISPUTES REGARDING POLICY
The Policy has been approved by the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India vide its order dated 17.06.2021. Result has been prepared by all the Result Committee in compliance with the approved Tabulation Policy. Dispute if any against the policy will fall under this category.
