Envoy Brendan Ward: ‘Indian students prefer medical, IT, data science courses in Ireland’

Ireland’s ambassador to India, Brendan Ward, mentions Indian students studying Irenland have shown a preference for IT, data science, engineering, pharmaceuticals, business and management. The envoy further highlights that there is also a rising interest among Indian students to pursue marketing, design, medicine and nursing, tourism and hospitality, as well as new-age courses on sustainability, filmmaking and equine sciences.

Since 2018, there has been a steady rise in the number of Indian students going to Ireland to pursue higher studies. Institutions in Ireland also offer a range of scholarships which provides upto almost 50 percent off on tuition fee.
