The event, attended by a total of 59 students from various departments including the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, School of Management Sciences, and School of Education, aimed to promote cyber safety and awareness among Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). Further, the idea is to strengthen Cyber Security in HEIs.

The webinar commenced with opening remarks by Hon’ble Chairman UGC Prof. Jagadesh Kumar, emphasizing the importance of cybersecurity in today’s digital landscape. Following this, experts from the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MEITY) and Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) delivered insightful talks on the significance of maintaining cyber hygiene and the potential threats posed by cybercrime.

Through interactive sessions and expert insights, the webinar focused on educating HEIs about essential practices for safeguarding digital assets and ensuring online safety. With cyber threats becoming increasingly sophisticated, it is imperative for educational institutions to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to navigate the digital realm securely.

The active participation of ASU students reflects their commitment to staying informed and proactive in addressing cybersecurity challenges. By engaging in such initiatives, students gain valuable insights into cybersecurity best practices, thereby enhancing their digital literacy and preparedness to combat cyber threats effectively.
