Employees in this Indian city earn the highest salaries: Report

A recent report has highlighted the justification behind the significant influx of internal migrants to metropolitan cities, as it reveals that cities such as Bangalore, Mumbai, Chennai, Delhi, and Hyderabad emerged as the top-paying destinations in FY2023.

As per the ‘Jobs and Salary Primer Report’ by TeamLease Services for the fiscal year 2022-2023, Bangalore showed a noteworthy salary growth rate of 7.79% compared to the previous year. Conversely, the Banking Finance Services and Insurance (BFSI) sector experienced a significant drop in average salaries after two years. Nevertheless, a wide range of opportunities emerged to explore measures aimed at maximising salary optimisation.

The report, which was focused on the job and salary trend in India in FY23, found that India witnessed a salary growth between 3.20 per cent and 10.19 per cent across various industries in 2023 which is slightly slower than the previous year.
