From interviewing celebrities to participating in various cultural competitions, Jahnvi Aggarwal has been enthusiastically exploring and honing her talents ever since she joined Apeejay College of Fine Arts (ACFA). After completing her graduation in History, Political Science, and Economics in 2021, the Apeejay alumna is now pursuing Digital marketing and Communications from MICA Ahmedabad while handling her family business. Simultaneously, the young girl, who wears many hats, continues to pursue her other interests and win accolades too. Read to know more:

You worked for an ad film recently. Can you tell us about it?

Through MICA, I recently got an opportunity to design an ad film for Jio’s reintroduction of Campa Cola in the market. We had a boot camp in Mumbai where learners from different parts of the country participated. Our task was to design an end-to-end campaign. I am happy to share that my team won the competition, and our ad will be proposed to the company as well.

Tell us about your anchoring projects.

One of my upcoming projects is “Rendezvous with Simi Garewal” where I will be interviewing the much-loved actor and talk show host. Earlier, I also interviewed celebrities like Hema Malini and Gurdaas Maan for an event. The confidence I have built over the years is all because of Apeejay.

What memories do you have of Apeejay College of Fine Arts?

I had the best time of my life at Apeejay. I was like rough clay that was moulded into a beautiful vase at the institute. I had just the right mentors at college who gave me a lot of exposure and shaped me into the person I am today. I got an opportunity to participate in a declamation contest for the first time in college and won the third prize. I was keen on anchoring shows as well, a side of me that I got to explore at my alma mater. I was chosen as the emcee for ‘Lavanya’, an annual fashion show at ACFA, for two consecutive years, where I got a chance to perform before comedian Kapil Sharma as well. Later, I was sent to China for an intercultural meeting between 12 nations, and I performed there too. I had the most memorable time at college, and I am grateful for all that I learnt.

Where are you working now?

I have joined my family business which deals in interior design as the marketing head. And we are yielding volumes. After completing my digital marketing course, I may pursue a master’s degree as well.

Tell us about your other achievements.

I was awarded ‘Iconic Anchor of Punjab 2022’ by a brand called La Excellencia, which recognises young talents in the country in an annual award ceremony. Recently, I got the second prize at the state level and the first prize at the district level in the Online Youth Parliament organised by the Ministry of Youth Affairs. My teachers at ACFA, Navjot ma’am and Anjana ma’am guided me. I will also visit the Parliament House this month and I look forward to meeting the Prime Minister.
