On August 27, 2025, Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri, celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi with devotion and grandeur. The festival began with the echo of the conch, marking the arrival of Lord Ganesh’s idol. Students and staff filled the campus with chants of Ganpati Bappa Morya as they welcomed the god of wisdom and new beginnings. The atmosphere turned festive, with music, dance, and prayer uniting the entire school community.

From the youngest learners to the senior students, everyone took part in the celebration. Nursery to Class II students performed a special poojan, offering handmade flowers and sweets to Lord Ganesh. Their simple gestures of devotion added purity to the occasion. Older students joined the welcome procession, carrying decorated thalis and performing traditional dances. The sound of drums, along with songs and chants, created a vibrant setting.

Learning through tradition

The event was not just about festivity. It became an important lesson in cultural values. Students prepared rangolis, crafted Ganesh-themed artwork, and helped decorate the campus with flowers and lights. By engaging in these activities, they learnt the significance of teamwork, creativity, and respect for tradition. The celebration turned into a living classroom where knowledge and culture came together.

The Principal, Dr Vineet Vasishtha, bowed before the idol, offering prayers on behalf of the school. This gesture reinforced the message of unity and humility. It reminded students that festivals are not only about joy but also about reflection, gratitude, and shared responsibility.

“Ganesh Chaturthi was a soul-stirring celebration that united our entire school family in devotion and joy. It was heartening to see students from Nursery to Senior classes come together in prayer, song, and celebration. Lord Ganesha’s presence filled our hearts with positivity and reminded us of the strength in unity and faith. May He bless our students with wisdom, success, and happiness,” the Principal said.

The Ganesh Chaturthi celebration at Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri, was a blend of devotion, creativity, and learning. It marked the start of a ten-day spiritual journey while also strengthening the bond among students, teachers, and staff.
