Education becomes more meaningful when it reaches beyond the classroom and responds to the needs of the wider community. Reflecting this idea, Apeejay School, Sector 15, Faridabad, undertook an educational outreach project aimed at supporting children in need.
The initiative formed part of the District Interact Council’s programme for Rotary Year 2026 to 2027, GIVE TO GROW. It was planned and conducted by Ms Mridula Sharma, Zonal Interact Representative, in accordance with the guidelines of the District Interact Council.
Supporting everyday learning
As part of the project, learning kits were prepared with essential educational and stationery supplies. These kits were distributed among students of a government school to support their learning, creativity and everyday educational needs.

The effort gave practical expression to the values behind the initiative. Rather than allowing service and compassion to remain abstract ideas, the project translated them into tangible action that could make a difference in a child’s daily learning experience.
A meaningful interaction
The distribution also created an opportunity to interact with the students. Witnessing their enthusiasm and smiles made the experience especially meaningful. Their response highlighted how a thoughtful contribution, however small, can encourage a child and support the journey of learning and growth.
The project was not limited to the distribution of educational material. It also demonstrated how a clearly identified need could be met with responsibility and empathy. Through its planning and execution, the values of leadership, compassion and service above self were placed into practice.

One step towards growth
GIVE TO GROW rests on a simple belief: Every meaningful act of support can help a child move forward. By connecting educational assistance with personal interaction, the project brought this belief to life.
The initiative stands as a testament to its guiding message, One Kit. One Child. One Step Forward. It indicated that a single contribution may appear modest, but it can become a significant step in a child’s educational journey.
