Dr Neha Berlia bestowed with ‘Edu Visionary Leader of the Year’ award

Dr Neha Berlia, co-promoter, Apeejay Stya & Svran Group, was conferred “Edu Visionary Leader of the Year 2022” at The Education Summit 2022, held in Mumbai recently.

The award was presented by Mr Deepak Vasant Kesarkar, Cabinet Minister, Ministry of School Education, Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, and Ministry of Marathi Language, government of Maharashtra.

Apeejay Education was founded in 1967 by Dr Stya Paul, an eminent educationist, visionary, and philanthropist. At present, it comprises 26 not-for-profit schools and higher education institutions. His legacy is being carried forward by his daughter and only child Mrs Sushma Paul Berlia, president, Apeejay Stya & Svran Group.

Dr Neha Berlia, daughter of Mrs Berlia, plays a key role in the operations, planning, and infrastructure of Apeejay schools. An active member of the Delhi Premier, she successfully balances her time between entrepreneurship and philanthropy.

Dr Berlia has won numerous accolades throughout her career. In 2018, she became the recipient of the ‘Next Gen Power Icon’ award at Times Power Icons and India’s Greatest Leader Award for her exemplary contribution to the field of education.

Adding another feather to her cap, the recently won award at The Education Summit 2022 is a recognition of Dr Berlia’s persistent effort to re-envision the future of education.

The 14^th edition of The Education Summit, conducted by Time2Grow Media, brought together education leaders, policymakers, academicians, professionals, and researchers to share their insights and experiences surrounding current educational practices and to exchange innovative ideas to further the mission in the wake of the post-pandemic new normal.

The distinguished guests deliberated on various issues like hybrid learning, global competencies, inclusive education, and latest technological aid in teaching practices, to name a few.

The Education Summit awards were presented to recognise the achievements of individuals, schools, and other educational institutions who brought about a positive transformation in the pedagogical landscape.
