‘Don’t Worry’: Poem by Anahita Singh, Apeejay School, Nerul

I tried as well as I could,
But in the end it was just a lie.
I wavered here and there,
In search of an unknown care.
“This is not the end”, that’s what I kept saying,
But deep down I knew this is my ending.
Forgive me for my good and wrongs,
I couldn’t be the exception you once wished upon.
I was a disappointment that I wished you never met,
Now the past is past, and full of regret.
If I could go back in time,
I’d trade my echoes for a final chime.

Now that I’m gone,
You won’t have to worry about me.
Life hasn’t ended for you,
So better use it wisely.

And I also realised, it hasn’t ended for me too

Because not just a second chance

Life believes in giving many chances

And not the last, but many dances

So, while the music may not be of our choice

Join the dance, break the poise

And enjoy and live this life, one and only

For we might not get it again

So never think it is the end

Sooner or later

Everything will amend!
