Chirag Kapoor works at TATA Capital Finance. He is a Sales Manager and was campus placed from Apeejay School of Management (ASM). In a short chat, he speaks about his work, gives crucial placement advice to youngsters, and shares his rich work life experiences.
How was your time at ASM?
I pursued a Post Graduate Diploma in Management and I learnt a lot. I learned many new strategies in marketing and sales. This course removed my fear of finance. I gained a newfound solid fluency in finance.
What did you learn in this course?
We were given many live projects, business models, industry visits, and business plans. It was a highly enriching experience.
Tell us about your life at campus?
I was into basketball and played a lot on campus. I made my debut in dance and theatre on campus. I took part in many skits and gained insights with fun, and mine was the first placement for ASM.
Finally, describe your work life?
I am working at Patna, Bihar. I manage two-wheeler loans and a team of 12. I monitor and guide them. I see myself at a senior post in this field, maybe in the same company. It is a very demanding job but I enjoy it.
A piece of advice for current ASM students
Don’t fake your personality in campus interviews. Don’t try to copy someone’s identity and personality. Stay real and give a genuine presentation in the interview. Honesty goes a long way in the industry. Remember, life is a marathon.
