A festival marked by a pledge to love and respect one another, Raksha Bandhan is all about the bond between a sister and a brother which is sometimes tightly woven, sometimes loosely held, but it is rarely broken.

Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri organised a virtual celebration to make students understand the essence of this festival on August 21. Students recited poems and shared the legendary tale of Lord Krishna and Draupadi from where the festival first originated. Dressed in Indian attire, they presented on-screen some interesting ways to prepare simple and elegant rakhis at home during the pandemic. The school, through the event, endeavoured for students to cherish familial bonds during these trying times.

“Raksha Bandhan is a sacred festival of India and Apeejay, Charkhi Dadri celebrated it through activities that can help children understand the importance of carrying forward our traditional values. I wish the festival strengthens the bond between all brothers and sisters this year.”
