The Inter-house Swimming Competition for the session 2024-25 was held with great enthusiasm at Apeejay School, Noida’s swimming pool recently. The event witnessed active participation from classes IV and V students, who showcased their swimming prowess across various categories.
Students competed in a series of exciting events, including Freestyle, Backstroke, Breaststroke, and Mixed Relay. The participants displayed remarkable skill, coordination, and endurance, turning the competition into a thrilling spectacle. The energy in the pool was mirrored by the high spirits and determination of the swimmers, who represented their respective houses with pride and enthusiasm.
Beyond the competitive edge, the event also emphasised the importance of sportsmanship and teamwork. Students cheered loudly for their houses, creating an atmosphere of fun and camaraderie. The competition not only highlighted swimming as a vital life skill but also fostered a sense of community among the participants.
The event concluded with an award ceremony, where Ms Smriti Samuel, the Primary In charge, felicitated the winners with medals and certificates. The recognition of the young swimmers’ efforts inspired both participants and spectators, encouraging more students to take an active interest in sports.

After the event, Ms Samuel addressed the students with words of encouragement and appreciation. “It fills my heart with pride to see such talent and determination in each one of you. Today, you have not only shown us your swimming skills but also the power of perseverance and sportsmanship. Remember, as you continue to grow, it’s not about being the fastest or the strongest but about giving your best effort. As the famous saying goes, ‘Success is not final, failure is not fatal: It is the courage to continue that count.’ Keep that courage alive in everything you do, both in and out of the pool.”
Her words left a lasting impression on the young participants, inspiring them to continue their athletic journey with confidence and enthusiasm.
Overall, the Inter-house Swimming Competition was a resounding success, reflecting the students’ determination and team spirit while contributing to their holistic development.
