Delhi school fosters leadership and commitment at an inspiring investiture ceremony

Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park, recently hosted an Investiture ceremony for the academic year 2023-24, leaving a lasting impact on all attendees. The theme, “Leaders become great, not because of their power but because of their ability to empower others,” resonated strongly, highlighting the school’s dedication to nurturing leadership and values.

The event commenced on a ceremonial note with the lighting of the lamp, symbolising the enlightenment that leadership brings. This was followed by a breath-taking invocation dance performance that set the tone for the day.

The key attraction of the event was the investiture of the senior and primary school student council members, who assumed their roles as leaders with a profound sense of responsibility and commitment. Parents beamed with pride as they watched their children shoulder significant responsibilities and embark on this transformative journey.

Mr. D K Bedi, Principal of Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park, administered the oath to the newly inducted student council members. The oath symbolised their unwavering commitment to serve their Alma Mater with sincerity and dedication. The students’ faces radiated with pride and honour as they signed the oath and received their ties from Mr. Bedi.

Filled with confidence and determination, the school Head Girl, Nandini Chopra, and Head Boy, Prateek Rout, pledged to uphold the values taught by the school while embracing the true spirit of the school motto ‘Soaring High is My Nature’. Their words resonated with determination and conviction, inspiring all present.

Mr. Bedi, in his stirring speech, congratulated the newly elected student council members and stoked their spirits for the journey ahead. He urged these ‘leaders in the making’ to embrace their responsibilities with dedication and become exemplary custodians of the school. He emphasised the importance of selflessness and urged them to make the world a better and happier place by serving humanity.

Ms. Ashu Khattar, Academic Coordinator of Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park, proposed the vote of thanks, acknowledging the collective effort that made the ceremony possible. The event reached its poignant conclusion with the rendition of the school song, a melody that echoed unity and pride, followed by the national anthem.
