Most of the 1,000 government schools and around 1,700 private schools in the capital are affiliated with the CBSE. According to the Delhi government, it was expecting that 25-30 government schools would be affiliated to the DBSE in the first academic year of its operation, 2021-2022. A governing body under the chairpersonship of Education Minister Manish Sisodia will oversee the functioning of DBSE.
