Nitish is a Relationship Manager at ICICI Bank in Jalandhar. He is an AIMETC alumnus, having pursued his MBA as part of the batch of 2022. In a quick telephonic interview, Nitish explains the two qualities every management aspirant must have. Read edited excerpts:

What work profile does a relationship manager have?

A relationship manager gets the toughest job i.e. maintaining relations with his/her mapped clients. Every customer in a bank’s branch is mapped to a relationship manager. I am working in the export and import category in my branch and I handle the exporters and importers in Jalandhar (the ones mapped with my bank branch). I have to keep the customers satisfied and also ensure the smooth functioning of the bank.

You got campus placed right?

Correct. I got placed from my college campus. I had enrolled for the placement in my final semester, the recruiters liked my profile and I got the job. It was a very happy moment for me.

What do you like the most about AIMETC?

All the teachers are so wonderful. But what is most special is that 80 out of 100 students in a class will certainly get campus placements at AIMETC. This is the best thing about the college.

Any advice for current students?

If you want to grow in marketing, the best institution in Jalandhar is AIMETC. Have no doubts!

Where do you see yourself in the next five years?

As a successful good businessman. I have a business of building materials and sanitary products that I manage simultaneously with my job.

Finally, two qualities every MBA aspirant must possess?

Dedication: A key quality to excel at work

Leadership quality: If you have this, then you can be successful at any role or profile
