‘Dancing with his ghost’: Poem by Varinda Chopra, Apeejay School, Mahavir Marg, Jalandhar

Losing her all, her world begin to collapse

Last glance wasn’t enough,

She had too much to love

Like torn in half, for her half was gone, gone forever

Didn’t feel like it was for the better

And it still felt like you were here,

Because roses are still red

Meant all the words she said

Her tears are pearls

Laying with your last home

Now the world sounds so lonely, slipping into the dark

Left with you, our never ending spark

Boy, why did you go away? She’s still your girl

While her hairs unfold

Every night she’s dancing with his ghost

Take her message to heaven,

We can still grow old, even if we’re far away

 Even if she sounds insane,

His music runs in her veins.

If she could just change the past,

Now lives by the memories of the last

Two wandering souls that somehow turned into one,

Days are cold, nights are warm

Melody in the air , till she hears their song

If you ever again pass by, she’ll welcome you home

Light up the bonfire, while the snow falls off the tree

The night was young again, so were we

His eyes looked at her the most,

She was dancing with his ghost.
