The students of classes 8 to 10 of Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri, recently attended an informative seminar on Cyber Security, organised by Haryana Police, at Janta College, Charkhi Dadri.
During the event, Mr. Deepak Gahlawat, Suprintendent of Police, Dist. Charkhi Dadri, explained the benefits of cyber security and how it safeguards data against theft and loss.
Further addressing the students, he explained that cyber safety is the safe and responsible use of information and communication technologies, such as the internet, social media, online games, smart phones, tablets and other connected devices.
He also emphasised on the increasing trend of unsafe driving that most often leads to vehicle accidents due to which many people die, undergo serious injuries or lose their body parts permanently. Many of these accidents occur due to poor driving skills, non-adherence to road safety precautions, lack of awareness, and violation of traffic rules.
It was a highly interactive session as the expert shared important tips on road safety such as wear safety gear while driving, stick to speed limit, keep a safe distance with other vehicles, don’t drink and drive, maintain the car in good condition, practice defensive driving.
Ananya from class 8 wanted to express her curiosity to know about the success story of Mr. Deepak Gahlawat. He explained his achievements in detail and encouraged the young aspirants to touch the pinnacles of success by hard work and dedication.
Another student, Livanshi from class 8 was keen to understand how the defaulters are treated when they are caught red-handed on the road. The query was answered in an appreciable way.
Seeing the enthusiasm of students, Mrs. Poonam Sharma, Teacher at Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri said, “In nutshell, the programme was highly informative as it provided the students with an opportunity to learn and understand about cybersecurity and road safety rules. We felt enriched after the programme. It was grateful to be part of this programme.”
The teachers and the students were appreciated and honoured for their thought-provoking ideas and active participation. The session was informative and completely satisfied the queries of the students.
