Learning often becomes more meaningful when children have the chance to see, observe, and explore beyond their textbooks. Students of Classes III and IV at Apeejay School, Kharghar, experienced this firsthand during an educational excursion that brought together history, science, space, and technology.

The young learners visited Nehru Discovery of India, Nehru Planetarium, and the National Science Centre. The excursion gave them an opportunity to move beyond classroom lessons and encounter different areas of knowledge through direct exploration.

Exploring India and looking towards space

At Nehru Discovery of India, the students explored aspects of the nation’s rich heritage. The experience gave them a closer connection with what they learnt about India and its past.

Their journey of discovery continued at Nehru Planetarium, where the wonders of space opened another window of learning. For young minds naturally drawn to questions about the world around them, the visit encouraged curiosity and observation.

Science and technology come alive

The visit to the National Science Centre added another dimension to the excursion. Students explored the world of science and technology, turning concepts associated with classroom learning into experiences they could see and engage with more closely.

Throughout the day, inquisitive minds and cheerful enthusiasm shaped the experience. Each destination offered something different, yet together they made the excursion a meaningful learning experience for the children.

Learning through exploration

The excursion showed how learning can extend naturally beyond the classroom. Heritage, space, science, and technology became part of one connected journey of discovery.

For the students of Classes III and IV, the day was not simply about visiting new places. It gave their curiosity room to grow and turned exploration into learning, leaving them with experiences and memories to carry back to the classroom.
