The University Grant Commission (UGC) Chairman M Jagadesh Kumar has said there will be no changes in the format of holding the Central University Entrance Test (CUET) this year. Further, he also informed news portals that the number of centres will go up from about 450 to about 1000.

With several complaints of glitches in the conduct of CUET, the first-ever all-India exam for admissions to undergraduate and postgraduate courses in 45 central universities held in 2022, the National Testing Agency (NTA) was considering making changes to this year’s exam.

However, NTA offer’s of 27 domain-specific subjects and 33 languages, out of which a candidate could choose a maximum of nine subjects, will be continued. CUET 2023 will be conducted from May 21 to 31, as per the released data by NTA.
