Turning analytical concepts into an engaging and interactive challenge, Algorythm – The Business Analytics Club of Apeejay School of Management (ASM), Dwarka organised “Crack the Code!” for PGDM students. The activity provided students with an exciting platform to test their observation, logical thinking and quick-thinking abilities through a series of fun, code-based challenges.
The activity introduced participants to an unconventional way of engaging with analytical terminology. Students were presented with emoji- and symbol-based clues and challenged to decode them to identify the correct analytical terms. With limited time to arrive at their answers, participants had to observe the clues carefully, establish connections between the symbols and relevant analytical concepts, and use their reasoning skills to reach the correct conclusions.
The unique format transformed familiar analytical terminology into a playful yet challenging exercise. Students encountered a variety of creative codes inspired by themes including analytics, logical reasoning, observation, technology and data-driven thinking. The challenges encouraged participants to look at information from different perspectives and identify meaningful connections between seemingly unrelated symbols.
The activity witnessed enthusiastic participation from the students, creating an energetic and competitive atmosphere throughout the session. The time-bound nature of the challenges added an element of excitement, requiring participants to balance accuracy with speed. Alongside testing their existing knowledge, the activity encouraged students to recall analytical concepts in a more engaging and memorable manner.

The competition concluded with the recognition of the top-performing teams. Moksh Rajput and Aryan Solanki secured the First Position, while Ujjwal Agrawal and Atif Khan secured the Second Position. The winners were recognised for their analytical thinking, keen observation, speed and ability to successfully decode the given clues.
The event was conducted under the guidance of Prof. Saumya Satija, with the support of student volunteers Laxmi Kumari and Kanishka Tyagi, whose efforts contributed to the smooth execution of the activity.
“Crack the Code!” demonstrated how experiential activities can make technical concepts more accessible and enjoyable. By combining analytical terminology with visual clues, logical reasoning and time-bound challenges, the activity gave students an opportunity to learn while having fun.
The initiative not only helped students learn and recall analytical terminology but also strengthened their problem-solving, observation and quick-thinking abilities—skills that are increasingly valuable in an environment driven by data, technology and informed decision-making.
