New Delhi, June 23: Apeejay School Noida’s Class XII student Vani Gupta, who passed out this year, has not only cracked the JEE Advanced Exam for this year, but has also topped the IIT Delhi Zone, among the female candidates, securing a prestigious seat in IIT, Delhi. Vani has done her entire schooling from Apeejay School Noida, right from Nursery.

What’s more, among all the successful candidates who have cracked the exam this year, her rank is Second among the women candidates, thereby challenging the gender stereotypes prevalent in the male-dominated field of engineering. With a striking score of 287/360, she has bagged an impressive All India Rank (AIR) – 91.

Vani’s focus on JEE did not stop her from scoring a whopping 97.8% in the CBSE Class 12 Board examinations this year, wherein she scored a perfect 100% in Maths.

She has also received admission confirmation from various other institutes including the prestigious Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. She is planning to join IIT Delhi soon.

Vani Gupta attributes her exceptional achievement to years of hard-work and love for the subjects. Vani said, “I started preparing for the said examinations from Class-IX onwards.

I never studied for the exams alone; I simply enjoyed the subjects. Besides, I took coaching for it, as well as learnt from my teachers at school.”

Vani credits her family, school teachers, and mentors for her success. Her elder brother Varun Gupta is also an alumnus of Apeejay School Noida who had earlier cracked the examinations.

He is currently working at Microsoft. Her father, Mr Brajesh Gupta is also from IIT Roorkee, currently running his own venture.

Vani said that she also learnt a lot by observing how her brother had aced the exam. Vani credits the immense support and guidance that she received from her mother for the brilliant performance in the CBSE boards and the JEE advanced exams.

Sharing her advice for future aspirants, Vani said, “It is important to enjoy what you study. The journey of preparation can be tough, therefore, a genuine interest in the subjects will keep you going”.
