Class I and II students speak from the heart about their families
The Talk Time Activity at Apeejay School, Model Town, helps children find their voice and build confidence
Recently, Apeejay School, Model Town, organised Talk Time activities for students of Classes I and II on the theme My Family. The activity gave young learners an opportunity to speak about the people closest to them while building confidence in a warm classroom setting.
Learning to speak before others begins with familiar subjects. The family gave the children a topic they understood well and could describe in their own words. This made the activity both meaningful and comfortable for the young participants.
Class II students speak with confidence
Students of Class II confidently introduced their family members and spoke about special moments they had shared with them. With bright smiles and expressive voices, they described the love, care, and togetherness that shape family life.
Each presentation reflected the child’s own experience. Some focused on the people in their homes, while others spoke about the memories and values that made their families special.
The activity helped students improve their speaking skills, vocabulary, and self-expression. It also encouraged them to organise their thoughts and communicate them clearly to their classmates.
Class I learners express love and gratitude
Class I students also participated enthusiastically in the Talking Time Activity on the same theme. The young speakers introduced their family members, shared heart-warming moments, and expressed love and gratitude for them.
Speaking about a familiar subject allowed the children to take part with excitement. It helped them become more comfortable while addressing others and gave them space to express their feelings in simple words.
