Members of Apeejay Institute of Mass Communication (AIMC) and Apeejay School of Management (ASM) came together to commemorate the 107th birth anniversary of the late Founder Chairman Dr. Stya Paul. The Founder’s Day celebration inspired students and faculty to reflect on Dr Stya Paul’s enduring legacy of human values, ethical leadership and social responsibility.

The celebrations featured a series of activities that highlighted Dr. Stya Paul’s philosophy of selfless service and value-based education into focus. The day began with a floral tribute to the Founder Chairman, followed by a Blood Donation Drive. The initiative encouraged students and faculty members to contribute towards the community while embodying the spirit of service associated with Dr. Stya Paul.

Speaking about the significance of the occasion, Prof. Sajal Mukherjee, Director, Apeejay Institute of Mass Communication, said, “Founder’s Day is an opportunity for us to remember that education is not only about professional competence, but also about building character, empathy and a sense of responsibility. Dr. Stya Paul’s vision placed human values at the heart of education, and it is important for us to carry that vision forward by encouraging our students to become ethical professionals and responsible members of society.”

A key feature of the celebration was the presentation competition on “Ethical Management Practices and Young Managers.” Student teams from both Apeejay Institute of Mass Communication and Apeejay School of Management  presented their perspectives on ethical leadership, decision-making and the role of values in management, encouraging participants to critically examine the responsibilities of young professionals. Govind Singh and Riddhi Rastogi from Apeejay Institute of Mass Communication secured the first position, while Suyash Srivastava and Lavanya from Apeejay Institute of Mass Communication were declared second. Aryan Solanki and Akshita Bisht from Apeejay School of Management secured the third position.

The programme also featured a vibrant cultural presentation, providing students with an opportunity to express themselves through performance while contributing to the celebratory spirit of Founder’s Day.

The celebrations concluded with an award ceremony, including the Dr. Stya Paul Award for “Human Values” and the distribution of prizes for the Ethical Manager Presentation.

The Founder’s Day celebration served as an opportunity for the Apeejay Dwarka Campus community to remember Dr. Stya Paul’s contribution and reaffirm the importance of values, ethics and service in shaping responsible individuals and future professionals.
