Students and faculty come together for a joyous Teacher’s Day celebration at Apeejay Stya University, Gurugram

Apeejay Stya University celebrated Teachers’ Day with great enthusiasm, warmth and heartfelt appreciation, honouring the teachers whose guidance, dedication and compassion continue to shape young minds and nurture the leaders of tomorrow. The celebration brought together the University community in a spirit of gratitude, joy and togetherness.

The programme commenced with a warm welcome, followed by the ceremonial lamp lighting by the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Vijay Vir Singh, Registrar, Dr. Pardeep Kumar, and the Deans. The traditional lamp lighting set the tone for a celebration that recognised the profound influence of teachers in the academic and personal journeys of students.

Addressing the gathering, the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor appreciated the invaluable contribution of teachers and highlighted their important role in guiding, inspiring and shaping the lives of students. His words reflected the significance of teachers as mentors who go beyond imparting knowledge to encourage students to discover their potential, develop confidence and grow into responsible individuals.

Following his address, the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor read out the heartfelt message from  Mrs Sushma Paul Berlia, Chairman, Apeejay Stya & Svran Group, Chancellor Apeejay Stya University, and Chairman, Apeejay Education  . In her inspiring message, she emphasised the profound and lasting impact that teachers have on the lives of their students. She highlighted that education is not limited to academic knowledge, but also involves nurturing confidence, values, emotional strength and a sense of purpose among young people.

Reiterating Apeejay Education’s commitment to holistic and value-based education, Madam Chancellor expressed her deep appreciation for the dedication, compassion and perseverance of teachers. She described teachers as the “heart and soul” of Apeejay institutions, acknowledging their pivotal role in creating an environment where students can learn, grow and flourish.

Adding colour and energy to the occasion, students presented captivating cultural performances dedicated to their teachers. Their thoughtful presentations served as a heartfelt expression of affection and gratitude, filling the venue with enthusiasm and emotion.

The celebration then took a lively turn with a series of engaging fun activities specially organised for faculty members. A spirited ramp walk and musical chairs brought laughter, excitement and camaraderie to the gathering, allowing teachers to step away from their routine and enjoy moments of celebration with colleagues and students.

The festive spirit continued with a cake-cutting ceremony, followed by teachers sharing their messages and reflections on the Feedback Board. Their words added a personal dimension to the celebration, capturing the shared experiences and meaningful relationships that make the teacher-student bond special.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, a group photograph and refreshments. More than a celebration, Teachers’ Day 2026 became a memorable expression of love, respect and gratitude, beautifully reflecting the spirit of Apeejay Stya University and its enduring commitment to recognising the educators who inspire generations.
