To celebrate Diwali, the Apeejay Education Society hosted an interesting competition for its employees a week prior to the Festival of Lights. They were encouraged to clean their work desks and decorate them with the available material at the office, as part of the “Best Work Desk” competition. No external décor items were used.

The competition was judged by two Senior Education Officers, Apeejay Education Society,
Mr N. N. Nayyar and Ms Anita Paul.

The occasion of Chhoti Diwali was filled with excitement. A virtual Diwali pooja was held in the morning, which was attended by President Madam Sushma Paul Berlia, along with Dr Neha Berlia, Co-Promoter, Apeejay Stya and Svran Group, Mr Nishant Berlia, Co-Promoter, Apeejay Stya and Svran Group, and Mr Aditya Berlia, Co-Promoter, Apeejay Stya and Svran Group.

The celebrations ended amid fun and laughter, with distribution of Diwali gifts and sweets and a delicious lunch.

What is also synonymous with festivals is the spirit of sharing and giving. Apeejayites across Delhi NCR took this opportunity to collect staple food items such as pulses, rice, blankets and clothes, and distributed these among the underprivileged, whose cheerful and bright faces made this year’s celebrations even more special. Schools and other higher education institutes actively participated in this initiative.

“This Diwali came with much hope after a long time. I am proud of each and every member of the Apeejay family who stood with each other and joined hands to support during the dark days of the pandemic. The pandemic is yet not over, but still, there is hope, and this Diwali we all celebrated HOPE, and also, we spread HOPE to all those people who lost their livelihood or are struggling. We will keep our spirits high and will continue to strive and achieve greater heights.”
