Apeejay School, Model Town, which is in the heart of Jalandhar, with immense belief in the concept of ‘united we stand’, had recently organised a splash of colours that truly portrayed the magic of unity and excellence in education. Guided by the vision of its Founder-Chairman Dr Stya Paul and the continued leadership of Mrs Sushma Paul Berlia, Chairman, Apeejay Education, and Chancellor Apeejay Stya University, the school presented a class show titled One Heart, One Mind with the effervescent young students of classes I and II.
The function kick-started on a high note with a warm welcome address, setting the stage for the evening of celebration. The significance of the occasion was further amplified as the grandparents of the students lit the traditional lamp, an auspicious beginning, symbolically suggesting the ‘light of knowledge’, along with the continuity of generations.
Leadership Address
The function commenced with a welcome note by Ms Priyanka Grover, Officiating Principal, Apeejay School, Model Town. She spoke of the growth of young minds here who are always found connected to their culture. Young Talent on View
The highlight of the day was the performances by the students. First, an invocation dance, Ganesh Vandana, had created a reverential mood of the evening. Next was the melodious and inspirational presentation by the school choir on the rendition of I Can Do It – an anthem of self-belief and determinism.
This was followed by the theatrical The Stone Soup – a skit on sharing and community. The kids executed it with remarkable aplomb. The gala dance was filled with synergy as the young performers danced with delight.
The Legacy
Apeejay School, Model Town, continues at the forefront to groom young minds into tomorrow’s leaders. Functions like these demonstrate not only the talents of the students but also the commitment of the school to excellence and community values. The success of the show spoke volumes for the vibrant spirit of the school and its concern for the holistic development of its students.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks presented by the Headmistress, Ms Namrata Sharma. She credited exceptional student efforts and teacher dedication. Her speech drew attention to the importance of teamwork and collective spirit displayed throughout the performances.
The show One Heart, One Mind was not a jamboree of the student’s talents, but it reflected the ever-perpetuating legacy of Apeejay School as the school continuously marked the way for its students to shine in all their endeavours by underlining the cultural heritage with modern educational practices.
