Celebrating Excellence: This Jalandhar institute hosts 26th annual Prize Distribution Ceremony

Apeejay Institute of Management & Engineering Technical Campus (AIMETC), Rama Mandi, Jalandhar recently celebrated its 26th Annual Prize Distribution Function with great enthusiasm and grandeur. The event was organised under the guidance of Sushma Paul Berlia, Chairperson, Apeejay Education, Apeejay Stya & Svran Group and Chancellor of Apeejay Stya University , and Dr. Neha Berlia, Joint Secretary, Apeejay Education, Pro-Chancellor, Apeejay Stya University, Co-Promoter, Apeejay Stya and Svrán Group. The occasion was graced by Mr. Ojasvi Alankar, IAS, Additional Chief Administrator, GLADA, Ludhiana, who attended as the Chief Guest.


The programme commenced with a warm welcome address by Dr. Rajesh Bagga, Director, AIMETC. During the event, he presented the Annual Report, highlighting the institute’s significant academic milestones, industry collaborations, student placements, and achievements in co-curricular activities over the past year. He emphasised the institution’s strong commitment to academic excellence and holistic student development. Dr. Bagga also acknowledged the visionary leadership of Mrs. Sushma Paul Berlia and Dr. Neha Berlia, whose dynamic vision continues to inspire the institution’s growth and progress.
Addressing the audience, the Chief Guest, Mr. Ojasvi Alankar, IAS, emphasised the importance of values in shaping true success. Delivering the message “Sheelam Param Bhushanam” (Character is the highest virtue), he encouraged students to uphold integrity, discipline, and humility in every aspect of life.

He further explained that “APEEJAY” itself can be seen as an acronym representing essential values for today’s generation—Ambition, Perseverance, Empathy, Emotional Intelligence, Judgement (being just), Adaptability, and Yearning for continuous growth—qualities that Gen Z must embrace to achieve meaningful success.
Dr. Neha Berlia, who joined the gathering, virtually delivered the Presidential Address. In her inspiring speech, she shared her visionary insights on the evolving landscape of education, stressing the importance of innovation, adaptability, and values-driven learning. She encouraged students to pursue excellence with perseverance and integrity while embracing challenges as opportunities for growth and self-development.
Adding to the inspiration of the event, an engaging video presentation showcased the remarkable life and achievements of Mrs. Sushma Paul Berlia. The video highlighted her visionary leadership, dedication to education, and commitment to nation-building, serving as a powerful source of motivation for students.
A key highlight of the ceremony was the felicitation of more than 300 students for their exceptional achievements in academics, co-curricular activities, sports, and inter-college competitions. Students who had excelled in prestigious platforms such as Apeejay Pinnacle and Youth Festivals were honoured. Special awards recognising exceptional talent and all-round excellence were also presented.

The Chief Guest Mr. Ojasvi Alankar, IAS, Dr. Sucharita Sharma, Pro Vice Chancellor, Apeejay Stya University, and Director Dr. Rajesh Bagga jointly distributed prizes and certificates to students for their outstanding performances in academics, sports, cultural activities, and inter-college competitions. Several special recognitions were also conferred, including Mr. Pinnacle, Ms. Pinnacle, Best Singer, Best Actor, Best Dancer, and Best Compere. Nakul Kohli of MBA was honoured with the title of Mr. Pinnacle 2024, while Arushi Suri of B.Tech CSE was crowned Ms. Pinnacle. Arushi Suri of B.Tech CSE and Angel Sharma of MBA received the Best Compere awards in the undergraduate and postgraduate categories respectively.

The event also featured a vibrant cultural programme that added colour and charm to the celebrations. The programme began on a spiritual note with an auspicious Saraswati Vandana, invoking the blessings of the goddess of knowledge and wisdom. This was followed by a melodious musical medley that blended classical and contemporary tunes, showcasing the students’ musical talent.
An energetic group dance performance further enthralled the audience with its synchronised movements and lively expressions. The cultural programme concluded with a scintillating Punjabi folk dance performance—Giddha—by the girl students, who captivated the audience with their traditional attire, rhythmic claps, and spirited expressions, beautifully reflecting the rich cultural heritage of Punjab.






The memorable celebration concluded with a formal vote of thanks by Dr. Anu Sahi, who expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Chief Guest and all attendees for their presence and support in making the event a grand success.
