CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship 2023: Registration deadline extended till October 31

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced an extension for the application deadline for the CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship. Students who have not yet applied now have the opportunity to complete their applications until October 31, 2023. The application process for the CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship 2023 can be conveniently carried out online via the official website at cbse.gov.in.

Additionally, eligible students who received this scholarship in the previous year can also apply for its renewal till the same extended deadline of October 31, 2023. However, renewal applicants must ensure they have achieved a minimum of 50% in their class 11th examinations to qualify for the scholarship renewal.

In 2006, CBSE introduced the Single Girl Child Scholarship programme. This scholarship provides a monthly award of Rs 500 and is granted for a maximum duration of two years. Eligibility for the scholarship is extended to all single female students who have achieved a remarkable academic feat by securing 60% or more marks in their CBSE class X Board exams. Furthermore, the students must be enrolled in schools with an annual tuition fee not exceeding Rs 1,500 for the academic year to be eligible for this scholarship.”

Step 6: Upload the documents and submit the form
Step 7: Download the application form and take a print out
