CBSE extends CTET July 2024 registration deadline

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has recently announced an extension of the registration deadline for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) scheduled for July 2024. This exam, held twice a year, is a pivotal assessment for individuals aspiring to teach in primary (class I to V) and upper primary (class VI to VIII) levels.

As per the latest update, the application window for CTET July 2024 commenced on March 7,
with the new deadline set for April 5, 11:59 pm. This extension provides an opportunity for
candidates who haven’t registered yet to complete the process in due time. Interested candidates can access the CTET July 2024 registration through the official website,
ctet.nic.in.

The application process involves steps like new registration, form filling, fee
payment, and document upload. Upon successful submission, applicants will receive a
registration number for future reference. Notably, the exam fee varies for different
categories. General and OBC candidates are required to pay Rs 1,000 for one paper and Rs
1,200 for both papers, while SC, ST, and differently-abled candidates have to pay Rs 500 for
one paper and Rs 600 for both papers.

The CTET July 2024 exam is scheduled for July 7, 2024, and will be conducted in 136 cities
across India, offering examination centers in twenty languages. The official website hosts an
information bulletin containing comprehensive details about the examination, including the
syllabus, eligibility criteria, examination fee, and important dates.

The exam, conducted on January 21, witnessed a significant participation, with over 26 lakh candidates registering for the assessment. This highlights the importance of CTET as a crucial step for individuals pursuing a career in teaching and underscores the need for adequate preparation and timely registration.
