“The physical exams will be conducted in August once the situation improves. I reiterate that our top priority is your safety, health and future,” said Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ in a virtual interaction with students. These exams will be for those who are not satisfied with their results. According to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), “Examination will be conducted by the board only in the main subjects. However, the marks obtained by a candidate in this examination will be treated as final for those who opt to take this examination.” On June 17, the CBSE had told the Supreme Court that class 12 results will be prepared on the basis of student’s performance in the finals of class 10 and 11 exams and class 12 pre-board tests. Meanwhile, a decision on conducting NEET, JEE, and other entrance examinations is still pending.
