The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued a cautionary notice to both students and affiliated schools regarding the accurate completion of the ‘List of Candidates’ (LOC) form. It has been highlighted that failure to correctly indicate all subjects in the form will result in the students being ineligible to participate in the upcoming Board exams in 2024.

CBSE has noted a recurring pattern where schools and students have displayed a lack of earnestness and precision in completing the form in previous instances.

“With the commencement of LOC submission, this circular serves as a renewed reminder to all schools about the criticality of accurately furnishing data in the LOC. Therefore, principals and schools are instructed to thoroughly review the LOC Notification No CBSE/LOC/2023-24/ dated 17/08/2023 before proceeding with the entry of candidates’ information. It is imperative that staff responsible for data entry are well-versed in all the guidelines outlined in the aforementioned circular to prevent any errors.”

“Additionally, parents should also be briefed on the significance of providing accurate data and the potential repercussions of submitting incorrect information. It is emphasised that amendments to subjects after the LOC submission deadline will not be entertained under any circumstances,” stated the Board’s announcement.
