The CBSE Class X toppers of Apeejay School, Nerul, have truly exemplified the rewards of perseverance and focused dedication. Their stellar results are the outcome of consistent hard work, disciplined time management, and a structured study routine.

Meet Nishtha Hemnani, Arya Amol Deshpande, Anaya Atul Deshpande, Annika Anand and Nishant Roy, who have scored 99%, 98.8%, 98.4%, 98.4%, and 98.4% respectively in their CBSE Class X Boards.

Sharing about her preparation strategy, Nishtha shared that she started thoroughly preparing a few months before the exam, “I made a list of all chapters and topics and started revising them one by one. I focused more on subjects I found difficult, like Social Science and Science, and kept solving sample papers to check my progress. I also made short notes for quick revision.”

With strong support from teachers and parents, they stayed committed to their goals and delivered exceptional performance. While Arya had set daily goals every morning, as to what topics had to be covered that day.

“To understand the subject when it is taught in class and to make sure all the concepts are clear in the class itself, by immediately asking doubts as they come up while studying. The teachers made sure that I understood all the topics in class and helped me to clear all my doubts as soon as possible. In particular, my Math and Sanskrit teachers helped me the most and were always available, whenever I wished to contact them,” shared Arya.

Anaya, on the other hand, credits her teachers, who facilitated her learning greatly. “From timely doubt-solving to constructive feedback, my school teachers played a key role throughout my journey. Their assistance and encouragement were incredibly important and enabled me to navigate any challenges I encountered during my preparation.”

Speaking about her plans ahead, Annika shares, “I want to pursue Mathematics and aspire to get admission in one of the premier engineering colleges.”

So, what is their success mantra that helped them sail through the challenges during exam time? “The most challenging part of the exam was writing the answers in the most presentable way, incorporating all the important points while staying within the word limit. In the beginning, it was difficult for me to assess how to do this, but my teachers guided me. Through rigorous practice and continuous improvement, I was able to overcome this problem,” shared Annika.

However, Nishant swears by regular practice and timely revision to understand and retain concepts better. “After coming back from school, I practised Math daily for at least an hour and then completed school homework, which helped me to grasp subjects better,” he shared.

The most challenging part was to keep the momentum and motivation high during the exams. “I would feel motivated to study after taking regular breaks by going out to play football,” Nishant quipped.

Though their achievement has not only brought immense pride to the school community but has also inspired their peers to aim higher.
