Parent-school sessions have become a vital aspect of interaction, providing a unique platform for fostering community, enhancing communication, and supporting student development. These sessions hold significant importance for parents, as they offer numerous benefits that contribute to the holistic development of their children and the strengthening of the parent-school relationship.

To foster this relationship, Apeejay School, Noida organised a Coffee Morning with parents for classes XII-A and XII-B. The assembly was well attended by parents from both sections.

During this period, the parents expressed deep appreciation for the morning assembly, noting the impressive display of talent among their children, particularly poignant as it is their final year in school. They experienced a sense of nostalgia, recalling their school days, and applauded the effort put forth by the students and the school. The inclusive nature of the event, which allowed every student a chance to participate and showcase their abilities, was particularly praised.

During the coffee session, Ms Ritu Kohli, the Principal of the school addressed the parents, offering valuable guidance for supporting their children during these crucial months. She emphasised the importance of standing by their children, acknowledging the potential stress students may face. She urged parents to monitor their children’s sleeping patterns and relaxation methods, highlighting the significance of these practices as effective stress breakers. She also advised parents to observe their children’s activities closely with patience and understanding.

Ms Kohli mentioned that the school will soon be arranging daily doubt-clearing sessions for students from 2-3 pm, providing additional support for their academic needs. This initiative was warmly welcomed by the parents, who recognised its potential to alleviate some of the academic pressures faced by the students.

Furthermore, parents proposed that the school invite alumni who have successfully qualified for exams like JEE, NEET, and NIFT to mentor the present students. They believed that insights and guidance from these ex-students could be highly beneficial for their children. The school responded positively to this suggestion, agreeing to organize such interactions soon.

Overall, the morning assembly and subsequent coffee morning sessions fostered a strong sense of community among parents, students, and school staff. The parents left with a renewed sense of confidence in the school’s commitment to their children’s holistic development and academic success. The event showcased the students’ talents and reinforced the collaborative effort required to support them during this pivotal year.
