Foundation course on design gives fundamental and in-depth knowledge of the subject. Such a course includes hands-on learning, exposing students to the elements of art and design and its history. The idea is to prepare budding designers for the  Fashion Design and Interior Design industry.

In order to develop a good understanding of colour pallets, techniques and style, Apeejay Institute of Design (AID) recently organised a painting workshop for the foundation students. The session helped young artists and designers to unleash their creativity and talent.

During the workshop, the students got the opportunity to explore the work and journey of well-known artists. The work was transformed from 2D to 3Dcubes to give a better understanding of the art.

After this session, the artists were able to create and innovate unique designs. They learned the expression of conceptualisation, skill application and execution.

The institute is known for organising different creative activities for its students. Recently, the institute organised an outdoor study tour for the students of GDP I semester along with their faculty members at Purana Qilla. During the visit, students got the chance to explore the beauty of monuments, and grasp the same in their sketches. The budding artists thoroughly enjoyed the creative experience of the session conducted in the middle of the historical place.
