The Bhartiya Shiksha Board (BSB), established by yoga guru Ramdev, gains nationwide recognition as a major school education authority, joining ranks with CBSE and ICSE.

A circular, disseminated to all technical university vice-chancellors, and AICTE-approved institute directors and principals, highlights BSB’s inception on March 9, 2019, and its official endorsement by the Education Ministry on January 25, 2023. In addition to this, the circular affirms that the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) acknowledges the parity of school Boards across India.

AIU extends its recognition to BSB’s grade X and Grade XII Board examination certifications. Ramdev and Acharya Balkrishna, co-founder of Patanjali, a prominent FMCG company linked with the yoga guru, head the Board’s executive team.

The Board’s stated mission is to impart a holistic education, fusing traditional Indian knowledge systems with contemporary science and technology for students’ comprehensive growth.
