Bharat Raksha Parv 2026 connects creativity with gratitude

As Raksha Bandhan approaches, Apeejay School, Model Town, Jalandhar, marked Bharat Raksha Parv 2026 in collaboration with Dainik Jagran. The initiative brought students together to express gratitude towards soldiers serving at the borders and to understand the meaning of respect, responsibility, and patriotism through a simple creative activity.

Rakhis made with gratitude

Students from Grades I to IX took part in a Rakhi Making Activity organised as part of the celebration. Using their creativity, they prepared handmade rakhis for soldiers guarding the nation. Each rakhi carried a personal expression of affection, gratitude, and good wishes from the young participants.

The activity gave students a way to connect the festival of Raksha Bandhan with a larger sense of national responsibility. Instead of limiting the occasion to the familiar bond between siblings, the celebration encouraged them to think about those who protect the country and spend long periods away from their families while serving at the borders.

A message beyond the classroom

The rakhis prepared by the students will be sent to soldiers serving at the nation’s borders. Through this gesture, the school sought to convey respect and appreciation for their service. The students participated with enthusiasm, turning the activity into a shared expression of gratitude.

For the young Apeejayites, the exercise also carried a clear learning message. It introduced the values of patriotism, gratitude, and respect in a form that children could understand and participate in directly. Craft and creativity became a means of expressing something deeper than an academic lesson.

The activity allowed students to understand the significance of acknowledging those who safeguard the nation. The handmade rakhis will now carry their wishes beyond the school campus, connecting a classroom activity with a gesture of remembrance and respect.
