She is an all-rounder blessed with a multitude of talents. Her immense potential enables her to excel in every co-curricular activity she undertakes, making her truly extraordinary. Meet Daanya, a Class V student of Apeejay SchoolTanda Road. In a candid interview, she shares the secret behind nurturing her diverse abilities and achieving excellence across varied pursuits.

Which extracurricular activities are your favourite?

I like to participate in activities like dance, rangoli, yoga, art and craft. I stood first in a solo dance competition held at school and scored third position in the national dance competition held at DAV University, Jalandhar and at LPU University. I stood first in the rangoli making competition and third in the yoga competition.

What motivated you to take up these activities?

It was my inner drive and passion. They bring me joy, help me express myself, and push me to grow both personally and creatively. Through them, I gain confidence, discipline, and a sense of purpose that keeps me inspired.


How do you balance studies with academics?

I balance my studies and activities with strong support from my parents. They help me manage my time effectively and give me extra time whenever needed. Their encouragement ensures that I stay focused on academics while also pursuing my interests with confidence.

How did Apeejay School support your journey?

The school has played a vital role in my journey by providing ample opportunities to participate in various activities. The teachers constantly encourage me and nurture my talent through the right guidance, support, and teaching methods, helping me grow with confidence and direction.

Would you like to take up any activity as a profession?

Yes, I would like to take up dance as a profession. Dance is not just a hobby for me but a passion that allows me to express my emotions creatively. I aspire to train rigorously, perform at professional platforms, and build a meaningful career in this art form.

How have these activities honed your personality? 

Participating in these activities has greatly shaped my personality. They have built my confidence to perform on stage in front of an audience and encouraged me to take new challenges. Through these experiences, I have also learnt to appreciate diverse people and talents, which has broadened my outlook.
