B. Tech in Space Science and Engineering launched; admission through JEE Advanced scores
The Department of Astronomy Astrophysics and Space Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Indore has announced a new B. Tech programme in Space Science and Engineering.
Admissions for the programme will begin in July 2023 and the all India JEE ranking will be considered for admission. The programme will be set in motion from July 2023 onwards and interested candidates can enroll for the same at the institute. Students will be required to appear and qualify the JEE Advanced 2023 examination to put forward their candidature at IIT.
To start off, the course will have 20 seats, the department has stated. Further, candidates will be offered sundry specialised programmes including space instrumentation, detectors and payloads, imaging and data analytics, remote sensing and atmospheric engineering and astronomy and astrophysics during the degree.
