Children’s day was celebrated virtually with much fun and frolic and gusto at Apeejay Svran Global school on November 14.  The school assembly undertook a surprise change for the occasion. The students saw a role-reversal as the teachers stepped in the shoes of students and conducted the entire assembly.  Students were delighted to see their teachers conduct the assembly right from the morning prayers, to news reading and even sharing the thought for the day. The teacher In-charges for the assembly were Ms Kanika Dua and Ms Anjali Pandey. Ms. Neeru Dhall was responsible for the organisation of the assembly.

The special assembly commenced with an informative speech by Ms Tanu Chawla to highlight the importance of the occasion. Soulful renditions of popular songs “Ashaayein” and “Hum bhi ager bache hote” by Mr Imran Ahmad and Mrs Neeru Dhall enthralled the students. Ms. Manali Pahwa, conducted a few games during the assembly which were highly appreciated by students. Students also enjoyed watching a motivational video prepared by teachers. The video depicted the power of the word ‘Push’ through a fable. Students took home the message, “Had the Eaglet not experienced uncertainty, it would have never transformed into an Eagle”.

After the assembly, the students thanked the teachers profusely and expressed their appreciation through heartfelt comments and likes.  Principal, Ms. Deepika Arora, was also a part of the celebrations for Children’s Day. She applauded the teachers for putting up a wonderful show. She also expressed her desire for students to give their best towards the betterment of the world. It would not only give them an advantage to stand in good stead but also enable them to soar high in life.

“We believe children are the most precious creation in the world. Without children, the world would be devoid of sunshine, laughter and love. We should protect, guide and love them, for they are our greatest treasures. May the innocence in their smiles and the purity of their hearts stay forever! My warm wishes to them on this Children’s Day.”
