Assam government cancels special board exams

The Assam Government has cancelled the proposed special board exams for students who are dissatisfied with the evaluation formula for class 10 and 12. Special exams were proposed primarily for students who wanted to take part in state government recruitment exams where substantial weightage is given to class X and XII board exam results.  “There will be no special board exams this year in Assam. Clause V of the previous notification, where there was a mention of the special exams, has been withdrawn,” said education minister Ranoj Pegu. Earlier, the state government had cancelled board exams due to the COVID situation in the state.
