Read edited excerpts:
Since when did you start drawing?
I started drawing when I was 5 years old and eventually I even taught myself canvas painting a year ago.
Which art form is your favourite and why?
Visual arts is my favourite type of art form as I feel that it is where I can easily display my talent. This form of art brings out the best within me and acts as a catalyst for my imagination.
How does your school support you as an artist?
My art teacher has always supported me in my talent by encouraging me to take part in different competitions. I am truly grateful to her for her constant support.
What is your definition of art?
According to me, art is a platform where you can display your skills to the people around you. I feel that it is a mirror for our mind. We can get a peak into a person’s heart and thoughts through their art.
How much time does it take you to complete one artwork? What are the common ideas and themes?
Well, that depends on how the painting is to be made. It takes me a maximum of 5 hours to complete a painting. My most common ideas and themes are sceneries or abstract art.
Any upcoming artworks?
There is one painting that I’m currently working on – it’s a beautiful night time scene with the moon in the middle surrounded by trees.
Any new artform you wish to learn?
I would love to learn this art form called sculpturing. As I feel that it would help me relax.
Other hobbies apart from art?
My other common hobbies are reading, listening to music and craft work.
