With an endeavour to turn India into a fully developed nation by 2047, just in time for the 100th anniversary of India’s Independence, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi recently launched ‘Viksit Bharat @ 2047: Voice of Youth Launch’ programme. Enthusiastic students and faculty members from Apeejay Institute of Management & Engineering Technical Campus (AIMETC) in Rama Mandi, Jalandhar, attended a virtual gathering to witness the launch of ‘Viksit Bharat @2047: Voice of Youth.’ The initiative aimed at getting young minds to have a say in what goes down in the country’s plans, priorities, and goals. The government is banking on the youth — the game-changers in the destiny of our nation.
During a video conference session held last week, the Prime Minister articulated his visionary perspective on the indispensable role of the youth in shaping the country’s future. The initiative perfectly aligns with this vision, providing a dedicated platform for young individuals to contribute their ideas and insights, thereby actively participating in the realisation of ‘Viksit Bharat @2047.’
As part of the campaign, vice-chancellors and heads of institutes will encourage students to participate by submitting their ideas through the MyGov portal. The best ideas will be rewarded. Students are invited to provide suggestions on three key questions: “How should a Viksit Bharat look like in 2047 in different aspects? What do we need to do to reach this goal? What can you do to make Viksit Bharat@2047 possible?”
The launch of the initiative marks the beginning of a series of workshops, a critical step in engaging the youth and encouraging them to share innovative ideas for the betterment of the country.
Dr Rajesh Bagga, Director of AIMETC, received the pleasure of attending the launch at Punjab Raj Bhawan, Chandigarh in the presence of Governor Shri Banwarilal Purohit.
On attending the launch event, Dr Bagga expressed enthusiasm and gratitude about the initiative, stating, “We are proud to be a part of ‘Viksit Bharat @2047: Voice of Youth,’ recognising and actively harnessing the potential of our youth for the greater good. This is an exciting opportunity for our students to contribute meaningfully to the nation’s development.”
Dr Bagga also highlighted the upcoming workshops as a structured platform that will help students brainstorm deeply, collaborate, and articulate out-of-the-box ideas. “This approach aims to foster a culture of active participation and civic engagement among students from various disciplines,” he added.
For the members of AIMETC, being a part of the launch of ‘Viksit Bharat @2047: Voice of Youth’ symbolises a commendable and vigorous attempt to channel the energy and creativity of the youth towards shaping and transforming the future of the nation. The initiative aligns with national visionaries, providing a platform for active contribution to the development of ‘Viksit Bharat @2047.’
The forthcoming workshops are poised to ignite creative thinking and foster collaborative initiatives among the youth, setting the stage for a future in India that is not only brighter but also more empowered.
Students of AIMETC enthusiastically shared their thoughts on this progressive initiative.
‘According to me, empowering the youth to express their thoughts and contribute to the nation’s development is crucial. It can foster innovative ideas, encourage civic engagement, and offer fresh perspectives on various issues, ultimately contributing to a more inclusive and progressive society, says Yashna Sharma, a third-year MBA student.
Another student of the MBA programme mentioned, ‘‘The Initiative Viksit Bharat @2047: Voice of Youth launched by our Honorable PM Shri Narendra Modi, is great and has its deep roots with the youth of Bharat. This vision shall encompass various dimensions of development such as economic growth, social progress, good governance, and more. I feel extremely proud to be a part of this initiative’ says, Kartik Sharma.
To conclude, Bidesh of first-year MBA student said, ‘Embrace each dawn as a canvas of endless possibilities, for in the brushstrokes of determination and resilience, you paint the masterpiece of a bright future awaiting your every endeavor’.
Impressed by the transformative journey of Vikshit Bharat @2047, an inspiring testament to progress. The initiative, envisioned by PM Modi Ji, reflects a promising path towards a developed and empowered India, echoing the aspirations and efforts of our dynamic youth.
